Lets Turn Up The Heat on Healthy Food Access!

Capital Roots has been helping residents of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties improve their neighborhoods and access healthy food since 1975. Our mission is to nourish healthy communities by providing access to fresh food and green spaces for all.

One thing the pandemic has revealed is the absolute need for fresh, healthy food access for all and sustainable local markets. Our dependence on national and international food supply led to empty shelves and poor food options. Our goal is to bring attention to the importance of supporting food economies, farms, and producers in our region.

So Capital Roots is turning up the heat to raise awareness and is challenging everyone to eat a pepper with some heat, nominate at least two friends to do the same, and make a $10 donation to Capital Roots.
