Have some change to spare? Supporting good causes right up your alley? Want to get the ball rolling on your tax deductable donations for 2019? Here's the perfect strike, er, opportunity!
All joking aside, Capital Roots plays a critical role in our community, working to reduce the impact of poor nutrition on public health in New York’s Capital Region by organizing community gardens, providing healthy food access, offering nutritional and horticultural education for all ages and coordinating urban greening programs in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and southern Saratoga Counties. Please help our family in supporting a great cause (and in wearing, eek, rented shoes)!
January 26, 2019 | 2pm - 5pm | Uncle Sam Lanes, Troy
Each year, Capital Roots teams up with friends and businesses in the Capital Region for a winter bowling extravaganza called Garden Bowl.
In the months leading up to this annual event, bowlers invite donors to sponsor their games. Then they strap on their bowling shoes and compete winning prizes for high scores, highest fundraising, and more! Whether you throw gutter balls or bowl a perfect 300 you are welcome to join the fun. You have a chance to win ski passes, dining certificates and more while you spend the day bowling with friends, family and co-workers.
** First 50 people to raise $50 or more will receive a free Garden Bowl t-shirt! **
